Summer 2003 - Around Priddis

2003-07-12: The Grounds

The grounds of the Robbins Ranch, -8- (bar, eight, bar), is dotted with old farm machinery like this grader. I found out that Ed and Karen don't mow around them, they just push them aside to mow under them.

2003-07-12: View Toward Calgary

Out the left side of our coach we have a view of the barn, garden and off in the horizon Calgary. With partial hookups (water and electricity) and a view like this, I think we've found a piece of paradise.

2003-07-12: Hay Fields

Out the front of the coach just below us is the horse pasture with hay fields beyond that. We're going to miss the harvest of the hay by a few weeks which is too bad.

2003-07-12: Two Of Our Friends

Normally all four horses are in the pasture but Dusty was injured and has been in the barn. It's been fun listening to the horses talk to us when we're at the fence.

Here's Karen funnin' around and pretending Bear is one of the bucking broncos we saw in the rodeo the other day.

2003-07-12: Tryna Rides

Bear was acting kind of skiddish the day Karen and I were going to ride so we just rode around the yard a bit to try out being on a horse.

2003-07-12: Millarville Church

Millarville is another hamlet in the area. This log church, built in 1886, is unique in that the logs are put in vertically.
