2006-09-07: Craft Time

Our campsite here is located beneath tall pines. What a wonderful setting to take some time for Al to do some carving and Tryna to finally get her sewing machine out and quilt a bit.

2006-09-10: Flotsam-Jetsam

The campground here at Ocean Shores has beach access. Taking the path to the beach, one must pass this flotsam-jetsam. According to Al flotsam is floating junk while jetsam is thrown away junk! I actually think the purpose of having this here is to give people like me a landmark when returning from a beachcombing expedition. This beach is a great place to find whole sanddollars.

2006-09-13: Reconnecting

Upon returning from the casino on Monday, this gentleman followed us into our site pointing at us. At first we were wondering where we knew him from and then made the connection. Jan and Jerry Guffy, our friends from camping inland of San Diego at Oakzanita were camped just 2 sites down from us. We hadn't seen them in probably 7-8 years so you can imagine the fun we had reconnecting!
