2002-08-01: Campbell Lake

Atop Mt. Erie on Fidalgo Island, one gets a 360 degree view including the Cascades, the Olympics and the San Juan Islands. Here you see an island on Campbell Lake which makes this an island on a lake on an island!

2002-08-02: Anacortes Art Fair

The Anacortes Art Fair is host to some 250 artists from the Pacific Northwest. It is always a fun day and a time to buy some treasures. There are not only artisans but also wonderful entertainment and yummy food. As a plus this year, the weather was a bit cool.

2002-08-03: Loganberries

Here are some of the loganberries growing on the farm. A loganberry or tayberry is a cross between a raspberry and a blackberry and grows on a thornless vine which makes it painless to pick. I personally think of all the berries now being picked in this area (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and loganberries) that loganberries are the best!

2002-08-05: La Conner Bridge

The bridge from the artsy town of La Conner to Fidalgo Island is definitely picture worthy. We love the mixture of fishing and pleasure boats that are moored along the docks.
