To get to the small town of Chimacum on the Olympic Peninsula we had to take the motorhome and toad on the ferry. It's amazing how they pack the cars, trucks, motorhomes, trailers 18 wheelers, and buses onto these Washington ferries.

The small town of Sequim has become the lavender capital in recent years. Barbara took us to four different lavender farms where we received a lavender education. Not only is it beautiful but is also useful.

The lavender stems are cut, bound and hung upside down to dry. Some lavender is used for sachet, some for cooking and some for decorating.

The Port Townsend Farmers Market is held every Saturday. Not only can one purchase fresh fruit and produce but also some very unique crafts and lavender food and products.
