We crossed the Columbia River from Washington to Oregon at Longview on this bridge. It looked like someone had constructed it from a giant erector set.

As much as I hate to think of forests being logged, it's necessary if we are to continue to use wood to build. The huge log facilities were interesting especially ones such as this one in Longview where the logs were being loaded onto ships.

Cape Kiwanda is where the dory fleet come in with their catch for the day. This rock reminds us of the rock at Morro Bay but has a wonderful handle which makes it unique.
