2005-06-29: View From The Campground

The Cumbres & Toltec steam train station is just down the road from our campground. The train makes one trip a day between Chama and Antonito, Colorado. It crosses the Chama River on this trestle bridge right behind our motorhome.

The Cumbres & Toltec is America's longest (74 miles) and highest (10,015 foot Cumbres Pass) narrow gauge railroad. It is also one of our country's best-preserved railroad museums.
