Volendam's busy little harbor is filled with working fishing vessels mixed with some pleasure craft. It abuts a charming area of traditional narrow houses.

This little village is famous for its herring. Our tasting included herring which had been marinated in salt water and covered with onions. Although we thought it was ok, Margaret really didn't like it!

Verona, our activities director took us to what she called "the littlest beach in the world". It didn't take long to comb the beach - Tryna picked up some wonderful beach glass.
