2010-06-16: Virgin River

The Virgin River flows just across the street from our campsite. Since it was pretty hot here it was a great place to go in the late afternoon. Here part of our group gathers.

2010-06-16: Narrows

The Virgin River has carved a spectacular gorge in Zion Canyon that is 16 miles long, up to 2000-feet deep and at times only 20-30-feet wide. We looked at the beauty but didn't go - it is not for the faint-hearted!

2010-06-16: Natural Bridge

Before the park was established, the Crawford family lived here. In the bottom center of the picture you can see a natural arch where the boys of the family played. What fun that must have been!
