2011-06-30: Bear Lake Summit

After driving through beautiful Logan Canyon, we stopped for lunch at Bear Lake Summit. We were overlooking Garden City, a huge raspberry producing area, and high enough to still see snow on the side of the road.

The Tetons are among the youngest mountains on the continent but few mountain ranges have a greater variety of glaciated canyons than here.

We drove up the Signal Mountain Road to 7725 feet where we were afforded an incredible view of the Snake River meandering through the valley below.

2011-07-01: Schwabacher Landing

We took a bumpy jeep road to Schwabacher Landing and were rewarded with this outstanding view of the Teton Range. The landing is on a calm side channel of the Snake River and the place where many of the float trips begin.

2011-07-01: Ox Bow Bend

I believe Ox Bow Bend to be one of the most picturesque places here in the park. Of course this may be because 9-years ago, it was there on the point that I spotted a moose!
