2011-09-09: Cobbler

My high school friend Sally and her hubby Paul who live in Snohomish came to visit. After a delicious Greek dinner in Anacortes we returned back to the coach for homemade wild blackberry cobbler and a game of hand and foot.

2011-09-09: Bird Feeder

While sitting at the table, we're able to watch the birds feed at our homemade juice bottle bird feeder. The seeds have attracted towhees, nuthatches, two kinds of chickadees, juncos and even a baby downey woodpecker. We've also seen pileated woodpeckers, flickers and even a squirrel eating blackberries!

2011-09-15: Friends

Barbara and Rudy, our friends who live on Whidbey Island came over to visit today. After a delicious Japanese meal we returned to the coach and everyone got busy picking berries so Tryna could make a blackberry cobbler for dessert. It was fun listening to Barbara and Rudy tell stories and share photos from their recent African trip.

My friend Two-Tone is one very smart dog. His owner is the leader of the wood group so Two-Tone is at every campfire. He has taken a shine to me because I bring him bacon dog treats, which he has to do tricks to get.
