2012-09-25: Tryna Zips
|
...Tryna had some issues! We had to cross 7 suspension bridges to get to the first zip tower. OK we were hooked in but hey we were up really high and it was scary! Then we got to the first tower and had to stand on this itty-bitty little step - yikes! I never got used to the step but zipping under the Ozark canopy did turn out to be a fun thing to do! Another thing checked off the bucket list.

2012-09-25: Branson Landing
|
Branson Landing is an open-air mall with a backdrop of wooded slopes and serpentine Lake Taneycomo. We headed down there tonight to take in the fountain show. Water fountains shoot 120-foot geysers accompanied by fire, fancy lights and rousing music. We watched it from the terraced town square and were quite impressed.

2012-09-26: Table Rock Dam
|
Designed and constructed 1954-1958, and operated by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Table Rock Dam was created to provide flood control for the White and lower Mississippi Rivers and to generate hydro-electric power. The dam has a maximum height above the river bed of 252 feet, is 6,423 feet in length.
