2001-12-07: So Relaxed

Here is Al relaxing after a day of driving. We can't say that we're hating the driving since we only travel about 200 miles at a time which translates to only about 4 hours.

2001-12-07: Texas Sunset

We haven't had any incredible sunsets in a while but we were treated to one in Van Horn, Texas. There isn't much to Van Horn but this beautifully lit sky made the stop worth while. The campground we stayed at had a rather unique feature - meals on wheels. For a price, they would deliver a hot supper to your motorhome!!

2001-12-07: Another Angle

I couldn't choose between these two shots of the sunset so I'm including both. Obviously this was taken a little later than the previous one.

2001-12-09: New Mexico

Although we didn't spend much time in New Mexico, what we saw was pretty. The southern area where we were is high desert and very similar to the Palm Springs area. The mountains in the area have a purple hue to them which makes them very pretty.

2001-12-10: Texas Canyon Summit

This is the Texas Canyon Summit in Arizona. It is in this area that the Cochise Stronghold is located. These rock formations, similar to the ones in Joshua Tree, afford many hiding places.
